100! This is the magic number of the first edition of RIPA – ROMA INTERNATIONAL PHOTO AWARD. In fact, 100 professional and amateur photographers from all over the world participated by sending a single photograph or a story consisting of a minimum of 5 to 10 images. All the photographers gave their testimony on such a complex theme as that of CHANGES. The jury, composed of authoritative members of international photography and ecological culture, chose from 576 images those that have left the most mark in describing climate and cultural changes in the three categories EARTH / ITALY / ROME.I thank with all my heart the organizational protagonists of this wonderful adventure: Camera Service Roma Centro Canon, in the persons of Marcello Ombres and Stefano Snaidero for the great human and professional availability, and for the high-level prizes that it has made available. Colleagues and friends Marco Salvadori of Tao Photo, Giulia Bucelli for having taken care of the drafting of the competition announcement and followed day after day all the organizational part. The jury, chaired by Fulco Pratesi, Honorary President of WWF ITALIA, composed of Sergio Ramazzotti, photojournalist and director of the Parallelozero Agency, Marco Pinna, photo editor of National Geographic Italia, Emanuele Coppola, one of the first Italian nature photographers, founder of Panda Photo, Valerio Nicolosi, photojournalist and independent documentary filmmaker.
